Micro Enterprise Development Program (MEDP)
Micro Enterprise Development Program (MEDP) & Livelihood Enterprise Development Program (LEDP) under NABARD have conducted various impactful programs: 1. Across Jairampur (FY 2024-25), Miao (FY 2023-24), Nampong (FY 2021-22), Longding (FY 2023-24), and Anjaw, BLCCT trained 30 rural women in food processing and bakery skills with NABARD's support, enabling them to start bakeries and training others.
2. In Miao (FY 2022-23), Jairampur (FY 2022-23), Namsai (FY 2024-25), and Longding (FY 2023-24), 30 women in each area were trained in candle making, leading to small-scale candle businesses and sustainable livelihoods.
3. In Longvi village (FY 2021-22), BLCCT trained 30 rural women in handloom and weaving; District Administration provided looms leading to a cluster of 55 weavers producing traditional attire.
4. Napotiya village (FY 2024-25), 30 SHG women trained in incense stick making, moving towards group-owned production, supported by ArSRLM and ZPM of Chowkham.
5. In FY 2024-25, 30 rural women trained in candle making, combining creativity with traditional significance to open market opportunities.
LEDP Program
1. Sewing Machine Operator Training (SMO) - Diyun: One-year LEDP in FY 2022–23 trained 90 rural women in tailoring and entrepreneurship for sustainable livelihoods.
Skill Development Program (SDP)
BLCCT, empanelled under PMKVY, contributed to youth empowerment with accredited Skill Development Centres offering these trainings: ❄️Self-Employed Tailor ❄️Solar Panel Installation Technician ❄️Two Shaft Handloom Weaving ❄️General Duty Assistant From 2018 to 2021, 570 unemployed youths were trained, with 70% securing employment or starting ventures.
